Chapter 6: Full Moon shines in the Shadows.

      Kouha met up with her four new friends before school the next day. She still had not wanted their help, but she did appreciate their oddball loyalty.

She sat down under a tree on the School Campus near the track. "Um thanks for your aide yesterday." She never took the time to learn their names, so she looked at all of them and said. "I'm Kousui, Kouha. Who are you all?"

      "Kayou, Migoto!" The light bluenette said as she threw her right arm into the air.

The girl with the green hair raised her index finger and said. "Omoi, Hayai."

      "Omoi, Kyou" The girl with the pink hair said as she blew a kiss at Kouha.

The girl with the red hair nodded at Kouha and said bluntly. "Daichino, Oushi, and that sleeping lump over there is Koren, Neona."

Kouha learned that like her, these girls did not know their parents. All of them had been found in different places around the world. A couple who could not have kids; brought them here to Japan and raised them all. Now they all lived alone in the house since their parents resumed their globe trotting work. Hayai, and Kyou shared a last name since they had been found together with one other girl in the jungle. Neona had been found starving and injured on the streets in Europe. Oushi was found in Spain, and Migoto in France. None of these girls spoke further of their past and Kouha did not push. The group finally decided to head into the building, as the headed to their respective classes. Kouha could not help but notice every girl gushing and grouped around the windows that looked out over the courtyard.

Kouha looked at these silly girls. "What's going on?"

      "It's ChibiUsa-chan's boyfriend; he's SOO cute!!!" Some of the underclassmen took Kouha's hand and led her out to the balcony.

Outside Kouha could see the pinkette with the silly rabbit ears hair-do, she was holding hands with a young man with silvery-white hair. He was handsome but Kouha was not overly impressed by him.

Kouha shrugged. "Yea he's OK."

      "OK?? Are you blind? He's DREAMY!" a blonde gushed and then signed with all the other girls on the balcony.

Kouha was about to head back in when Helios looked up at her, his golden eyes locked on hers. Kouha looked at him for a few minute, but then turned and headed inside.

      "Oooh that's the first time he's looked away from ChibiUsa; usually he only has eyes for her." Kyou said as she bumped hips with Kouha.

Kouha rolled her eyes. "Whatever, she can have him."

Kouha was unsettled being stared at by someone she did not know. The rest of the school day flew by; and many of the student spoke to Kouha. Seems her little skirmish with the Queen Bee, had granted her more respect among the student body. At track practice, Kouha caught Helios sitting in the stands watching her.

Kouha was getting aggravated. "Ugh this kid is a freak!!"

Kouha left practice, and headed to her job. As she walked through the streets; she caught glimpses of Helios following her. There was nothing she could do about his presence at her job; he, Chibi-Usa, and her posse came to have fun. She determined that if he followed her home she would knock some sense into him. Gladly she did not see him on her way to her small place. That night, though her night terrors featured a new character.

      Hands grabbed her, she felt her bones snap, and felt them digging into her skin. She smelled blood, and tasted her tears. All around her shadows undulated, and voices laughed at her pain. She felt extreme pain radiating from every deep and light scar on her body. It was so bad that it threatened to cause her to pass out; bile rose in her throat, and she started to wretch. As she heaved, a spiked chain whipped her face and wrapped around her open mouth and head. More chains lashed out at her binding her, and sawing into her body. The chains pulled her in opposite direction; threatening to literally rip her a part. Just as the chains here about to tear her to shreds, a voice called out to her.

      "Maiden..." The kind melodious voice said.

Kouha could only sob, but as the voice called out to her more, the chains one by one burst into golden sparkly dust. Kouha dropped to the dark ground as the last chain vanished. The golden light chased away the shadows, but Kouha's wounds remained. She sat on the ground with her arms wrapped around her broken form. This is how she felt day after day; she was broken, and she would never be free. Something nudged her head, and she looked up to see a winged unicorn, who's horn was golden. The animal nudged her again, and Kouha pushed it away.

      "Maiden, don't cry." The voice called to her again.

Kouha realized that the voice was coming from this mythical beast. She wiped her eyes, and sniffled.

She looked at the animal and asked. "What do you want?"

      "I know who you are Maiden..." The winged unicorn flapped its' wings.

A full moon rose out of the darkness and illuminated the land around her. This was no longer the dream scape she was used to, this was a pretty place of rainbows, and purity.

Kouha stood up and stepped away from the creature. "Yea so who am I?!"

The winged unicorn bowed its' head and it's golden horn glimmered and then shone with a bright light. When the flash died down, Kouha stood in a white gown with blue roses in bloom on her shoulders. Golden pipping adorned the bust and blue pearls sat just under the bust. The dress was nice, but it showed off her scars, and despite that, it felt some how right.

Kouha shook her head and walked away from the animal; she say her reflection and saw that her hair was up in conical odangos with the rest flowing down her back.

Kouha huffed. "SO I'm what?! A pale reflection of Princess Pinky Rabbit?! I don't think so!"

Kouha huffed getting annoyed; this dream was stupid, and she was not buying anything this horse was telling her. The more she got angry; the darker the dream scape became, The silvery full moon was eclipsing, the winged unicorn was gone.

      "Maiden this is who you are...I can not lie." The voice called out to her.

Kouha snapped back. "That was who I might have been once, but it is not who I am now!"

Kouha woke up as she fell out of bed onto her floor with a thud. She was calling out "NOW" as she woke up. She lay on the floor for a moment feeling silly; she then got up and felt something hit her foot. She felt around in the dark for it, and picked up the small thing. She yelped in surprise as it started to change and glow. It had started out as a circular thing like a poker chip. Kouha watched it change and become a brooch with four gems on it and a blue rose twined around the crescent moon in the center.

Kouha threw the brooch across the room in shock. "What the...?!"

She heard it hit the wall and fall onto the floor. Kouha sat in the dark and rubbed her face and messy hair; not knowing what else to do, she got dressed and went on a run.
